Monday is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, in which we're reminded about the late speaker's quest for civil rights equality.

On August 28, 1963, King gave his landmark 'I Have a Dream' speech outside the Lincoln Memorial during the March on Washington. Roughly a quarter of a million people turned out to hear one of the most important and moving speeches in American history.

The day is a holiday, but did you know only 37% of companies give it as a paid day off? That may seem low, but it's a healthy jump from the 14% when the holiday was first recognized in 1986 and a steady increase from the 35% just last year.

Check out King's entire speech above.
