American young women are bombarded with an alleged “ideal” look and shape. False body image contributes to eating disorders and a loss of self worth. The “Truth in Advertising Act,” isn't the solution. This bipartisan piece of political correctness is a Band-Aid on the symptom. The bill would regulate airbrushed photos in advertisements. If passed, the bill authorizes the Federal Trade commission to meet with health care offices and executives in the advertising and marketing industries to regulate altered photographs in ads.

In other words, Congress (the phoniest body on the planet) authorizes a bureaucracy that regulates trade to work with advertising executes, to define what is real for America’s young women. That’s a picture so ugly it would have to be air brushed! My name is E. Curtis Johnson. Let me put it this way. If your daughter brought home a guy who worked in advertising or was a member of Congress, would you be happy about the relationship?
