The backers of I-185, the tax hike measure that would also make the Obamacare Medicaid Expansion permanent in Montana, have desperately tried to make veterans a part of their campaign pitch. But one of the state's largest veterans organizations is coming out against I-185 following a unanimous vote.

Department Commander Richard Klose of Laurel said:

Our members’ concerns are multiple. The greatest issue is the negative impact this Initiative would have on future funding of our veteran homes. Additionally, degrading the veteran home funding priority is of great concern.
