The Railyard Closing

The Railyard, a nightclub known for hosting live performances of heavy metal, punk and rock music, is closing it’s door at the end of July as reported by the Billings Gazette.  Promoter Josh Schleining, said the bar has been struggling against increased competition downtown, particularly after the Pub Station expanded last year just a few blocks away.  The space at 2526 Montana Ave. will be occupied by Carter’s Brewing owner Mike Uhrich, who confirmed Friday that he’s planning to expand into the Railyard and would discuss specific plans at a later date.
