A Montana Television News/Montana State University poll shows incumbent Democratic U.S. Sen. Jon Tester holds a narrow lead over State Auditor and Republican senate nominee Matt Rosendale, 46 to 43 percent. The mail-ballot poll of more than 2,000 registered voters, conducted during a three-week period in late September and early October, has amargin for error of plus-or-minus 2 percentage points, making the race between Tester and Rosendale a statistical toss-up going into the final weeks of the campaign. Absentee voting began October 13th and election day is November 6th.
