The call to boycott Target over it’s transgender bathroom policy continues to grow with more than half a million signatures on the Boycott Pledge.  Last week, Target officials announced that transgender customers are welcome to use the bathroom that matches their gender identity at its stores.  Billings Target officials said this is a long standing policy that the company has held for years. Last week was the first time it made it public. Since then, more than 620,000 people have signed a pledge to boycott Target stores across the nation.  Five towns in Montana, including most recently added Whitefish, have enacted a non-discrimination ordinance to add protections for the LGBT community.  Just two years ago, Billings City Council voted not to pass the ordinance.
