How long will Montana's deep freeze last, and what is driving it? We talked with the National Weather Service in Montana for the answers.

Typically, we get our first hard frost in Billings around October 4th, according to the National Weather Service office in Billings.

I spoke with Ruth Ebert from NWS in Glasgow Tuesday morning. She said they received reports of 86 MPH winds in the area, an inch and a half of rain, and hail as big as 1.75 inches.
