Stripper Poles and Political Polls – Opinions From E. Curtis Johnson

Jarrett Maupin is an ordained minister and member of the Progressive Christian Coalition. Maupin is running for the 7^th District seat in the House of Representatives on the platform of affordable student loans and all-day kindergarten. The Great Alaskan Bush Company of Phoenix, a strip club, has endorsed Rev. Maupin.  The Arizona Republic quotes Maupin’s response, “The Lord works in mysterious ways.”

Maupin claims he wants to help the young ladies get their clothes back on but happily accepts the endorsement. Maupin was convicted of lying to the FBI. As a convicted felon, he cannot vote for himself for Congress, but no law prohibits convicted felons from being members of Congress. Why am I not surprised? Wouldn’t it be hilarious if he lost by one vote? So, endorsed by strippers, a convicted liar, who is also a Reverend, is running for The House of Representatives and one of his campaign platform planks is all-day kindergarten. How apropos!
