A pickup truck crashed into the Yellowstone River on Monday night, and authorities pulled an unresponsive woman from the river who was pulling a stolen trailer, and being chased by police.  The 33-year-old woman was reportedly not breathing when emergency rescue searchers pulled her out about 25 minutes after the pickup was seen entering the river.

The chase started when the trailer was reported stolen to the Laurel Police Department.  Officers attempted to pull over the woman in the pickup who was pulling the trailer on 1st Avenue near the north end of Laurel, but she fled.  After a chase of about 15 minutes, the pickup entered the water.

Authorities saw the unidentified woman leave the pickup and begin swimming downstream.  After about 400 yards she went under and officers never saw her come up.  Police are looking for a man who may have been involved in the theft.
