The investigation of a suspected stalker has led to a half dozen felony charges.  A woman who reported to authorities that she received graphic sexual messages from a stranger led to multiple charges against a Billings man.  28-year-old Clinton Gilham was charged with felony stalking and five lesser counts in Yellowstone County Justice Court on Tuesday.

Justice of the Peace David Carter set Gilham’s bond at $45,000 and restricted him from using cellphones or social media websites because of the nature of his alleged crimes.  Gilham had previously been charged and prosecuted in Billings Municipal Court for stalking, and convicted on all three charges.  Prosecutors discovered several phone numbers that matched the pattern of harassment in Gilham’s case.  The evidence was turned over to Yellowstone County prosecutors and Gilham now faces six felony charges for harassing at least five other women.  He has reportedly threatened to rape these women.
