St. Vincent Healthcare Foundation on Saturday will host its premier fundraiser, attracting more than 1,000 guests and raising more than $1 million to create a healing environment for patients receiving care in St. Vincent Healthcare’s Intensive Care Unit.

This is the Foundation's 37th Annual SAINTS event, according to a news release.

“It is our priority to supply our patients with the highest level of care," said Dennis Sulser, president and CEO of St. Vincent Healthcare Foundation. "Our ICU renovation will assure that we our excelling in patient care, and that we are bring the highest level of care to patients in our ICU.”

This year’s theme, “The Secret Garden” was chosen to reflect not only the healing power inherent in living things, but also the miracles that bloom daily in the St. Vincent Healthcare ICU, according to the news release. There, a team of intensive care physicians and highly trained clinical staff, end to critically ill and traumatized patients with the utmost compassion, providing round-the-lock life-saving specialty care.

The $1 million expected to be raised at the event will to help pay for a renovation of the intensive care unit. The new St. Vincent ICU will feature modernized patient rooms, advanced technology, family friendly waiting areas, and decentralized nurse’s stations, according to current plans. The newly transformed ICU will also allow patients to recover in expanded private rooms where loved ones can join them during the most challenging of times.

“Creating a healing environment for these patients is something we have looked forward to doing for many years,” Sulser said. “This year’s SAINT’s benefit is critical to moving that effort forward, and we appreciate all those who will be coming out to support us in October.”

The entertainment for this year's benefit is Groove Merchants.
