Skyview High School in Billings will soon be powered by the Big Sky.  The school is the largest energy consumer in School District 2, and now has some financial help to install a solar energy system.  A $50,000 grant from Northwestern Energy will bring down the cost of the nearly $140,000 project.

SD2 trustees voted last night to give Skyview the full grant amount.  KTVQ.com reports the 50 Kilowatt, photovoltaic system is estimated to take seven years before return of investment.  Savings could reach $390,000 over 30 years.
