You heard me right. If House Bill 206 passes, the "road beer" could make its return.

Currently, drivers and passengers are not allowed to drink alcohol while driving. Because of obvious freaking reasons. However, a few lawmakers, including the bills sponsor, House Representative Daniel Zolnikov (R-Billings) thinks that "road beers" should be allowed for passengers.

Other representatives have argued that having passengers being able to drink will place temptation on the driver and there for increase the number of drunk driving accidents. Rep. Zolnikov disagrees and says "where's self-responsibility."

Well, Representative Zolnikov, where was the "self-responsiblity" for the the drunk drivers this last year that got in accidents and even caused fatalities? Alcohol related fatality rates in Montana are the highest in the nation. To say the least, I'm pretty steamed about this.

Do you agree or disagree with this bill? What are your thoughts?
