Democrats and some in the mainstream media have been desperately trying to attack Ryan Zinke over his travel spending as US Secretary of Interior. However, new data shows that Zinke is spending less than his predecessors who served as Interior Secretary under former President Obama.

As The Daily Signal reports:

The Daily Signal’s examination of travel records found that on average Zinke’s two predecessors spent more annually on such noncommercial flights, despite media reports critical of Zinke’s spending on travel.

Salazar and Jewell spent just over $1 million on chartered flights over the seven years, the records show.

These attacks on Zinke are especially absurd when compared to the fact that former Obama Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta travelled home to California nearly every single weekend on the taxpayer dime.
