Public Can Review CIP
Billings residents have until March 6th to tell city officials what they think about how more than $275 million will be spent over the next five years. The Billings Capital Improvement Plan, which covers projects in excess of $25,000 planned between fiscal years 2018 and 2022, will be presented to the Billings City Council during a work session in early March, while a public hearing and a vote by the council is expected on March 27.
The plan features a $65 million upgrade to the wastewater treatment plant and $45 million to expand the passenger terminal at Billings Logan International Airport. In total, capital spending for 13 city departments is outlined in the plan, available to review online. Comments on the plan should be directed to Vern Heisler, the deputy director of public works at; HeislerV@ci.billings.mt.us or call 406-657-8236.
