56-year-old Republican politician Michael Lange of Billings, formerly the Montana House Majority Leader, has pleaded not guilty to charges of possession and distribution of methamphetamine.  Lange appeared on Tuesday in U.S. District Court.

 

Lange faces one count of meth distribution and one count of meth possession.  Montana U.S. attorneys charged him with distributing over 500 grams of methamphetamine between April and October 2016.  Each count carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison.
