Montana authorities say one person has been found dead after a fire at a single-story apartment building near downtown Billings. The victim was not immediately identified. The Billings Fire Department says the fire broke out shortly before midnight Saturday in one of the apartment building’s six units. The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental, but the department did not provide details. The fire caused an estimated $6,000 in damage to the kitchen and attic, along with some smoke damage throughout the building.
