On Independence Day, Take Stock of What the U.S. Government Controls [OPINION]

As we approach the Fourth of July holiday, keep in mind all the reasons to celebrate our "freedoms."

Let's see. The government now controls all state voter laws, marriage laws, your health care system, what your kids eat and their curriculum, the size of your soda, the light bulbs you use, the air above you and the water below, where you stack your firewood and park your camper, the oceans, rivers and lakes and the time you can start work outdoors.

Hell, they even control the clocks. So happy Independence Day everyone and remember the Rims are closed.
