On Tuesday, Yellowstone County Commissioners appointed a new Justice of the Peace and a new auditor. Scott Turner, the previously retired former finance director for the county was selected as auditor, according to Commissioner Denis Pitman, and Jeanne Walker, an attorney and acting ProTem for the Yellowstone County Justice Court, was appointed Justice of the Peace. Walker replaces Justice of the Peace Pedro Hernandez and Turner replaces Hernandez’s wife, Debby, as auditor. KTVQ.com reports the Hernandez couple retired November 30 after submitting their letters of resignation in September.
