Montana Republican Party Chairman Jeff Essmann announced on Wednesday that he will return to Billings and run for mayor this November.  Essman says he will run on [quote] “a straightforward plan to complete long-overdue infrastructure projects making use of existing resources, and avoid new taxes.” [end quote]

 
The 64-year-old and West High School graduate outlined his goals, including; Creation of a Sexual Assault Victims Unit; Redefining the role of City Council; and Revitalization of MSU-Billings.  Essmann recently drew national attention when he issued a warning that voting by mail would [quote] “give the Democrats an inherent advantage in close elections due to their ability to organize large numbers of unpaid college students and members of public employee unions to gather ballots by going door to door,” adding “George Soros-backed groups are organizing to manipulate our special election.”[end quote]
