Montana's unemployment rate continues on a slow decline for November, according to the Department of Labor and Industry, whereas the U.S. unemployment rate remained unchanged over the month at five percent.

Commissioner of Labor and Industry Pam Bucy said the holiday season is expected to be a joyful one for Montana's businesses and workers.

"We must continue to pursue policies designed to expand the size and quality of our workforce in order to match our wage and employment growth of the last few years," Bucy said in a press release. "As our population ages and the labor market tightens, a quality workforce remains critical to growth."

Gov. Steve Bullock said he remains committed to working with businesses and communities "to continue our economic prosperity in the upcoming year."

The Consumer Price Index was unchanged in November and is up by 0.5 percent over the past year.
