MTN News reports a deputy with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office came under fire on Tuesday afternoon during an attempted traffic stop. According to the Lewis and Clark County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred at 3:30 p.m., where the deputy was fired at by the as-yet-unidentified suspect, but was not injured. The suspect’s vehicle was last seen fleeing north on Interstate 15, then headed east on Canyon Ferry Drive from Lake Helena Drive. That vehicle is reportedly a blue Chrysler 300 with temporary registration occupied by three unidentified males. If you recognize the vehicle, authorities recommend that you do not approach, as the suspects are believed to be armed and dangerous.
