Jon Tester and GOP Congressman Greg Gianforte, their comments starkly contrast with Trump’s inexplicable agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s assertion that his country was not involved– despite the indictments of twelve Russian individuals announced by the Justice Department just before Trump arrived in Helsinki. Gianforte said Russia is not our ally and continues to interfere in our elections. Daines expressed his confidence in our intelligence communities and Tester added our intelligence agencies agree that Russia is a hostile nation that has targeted America.
