A 23-year-old Billings man– on probation for his fourth drunken driving offense– is accused of mercilessly beating and strangling a woman while his friends held her down.  KTVQ.com reports that Billings police were dispatched to North 22nd Street in June, where the victim reported that three men armed with baseball bats and handguns assaulted her.

Officers found the woman and her 2-year-old child at a neighbor’s house.  The woman was covered in scratches and bruises.  She said she was lying on the couch when Curtis Lind came home with two other men.  He was yelling at her and began to strangle her, then allegedly hit the woman in the head with a baseball bat.  Lind was set to appear in Yellowstone County Justice Court on Wednesday to face charges of felony strangulation, assault with a weapon and misdemeanor assault.
