Let’s Just Ban Life [OPINION]

The Billings Gazette had an Opinion today that calls for a ban on fireworks, period.

The editor refers to a state health report that states that on average more than 40 people in Montana are hurt using them and require medical attention. What is this?  The People's Republic of China ? Hell no, you can't ban all things that have the potential to cause injury.

If we did, no one would ever be able to ride a bike or horse, hike or swim, no rodeos, no football or basketball, no camping, all of which have more than 40 injuries a year. If they need a temporary ban because of extreme fire danger then absolutely, but keep your hands off our recreational freedoms.
