With the 2018 elections in the rear-view mirror, the 2019 legislative session is staring at us right through the cracked windshield.

Which lawmakers will guide us through the Republican-dominated legislature? As the Montana Television Network's Mike Dennison reports, Democrat Jon Sesso appears to have a lock on the minority leader post in the state senate, while Scott Sales and Fred Thomas will run for senate president. As for the state house, Dennison added this:

In the House, the two top candidates for speaker are Rep. Greg Hertz, R-Polson, and Rep. Nancy Ballance, R-Hamilton. Hertz was the speaker pro tem in the House during the 2017 session and special session, while Ballance chaired the House Appropriations Committee.
