You’ve heard about the cover of Rolling Stone magazine where the preamble to the Constitution is tattooed on the back of a naked Julia Louis-Drefus. You’re also probably aware of the magazine’s blunder of putting John Hancock’s signature on a document he never signed. As a former reader of Rolling Stone, this faux paw doesn’t surprise me.

Rolling Stone couldn't get constitutional issues right if James Madison was the editor. The magazine cover promotes Louis-Drefus’ role in HBO’s, “Veep,” where she plays a U.S. Vice-President (emphasis on vice) who swears like John Paul Jones’ sailors. I don’t watch HBO, but I am a fan of Julia Louis-Drefus. I’m puzzled why someone as smart, funny and talented as she would fall for a cheap ploy to sell magazine and cable subscriptions.

My name is E. Curtis Johnson. Mighty progressive of you, HBO and Rolling Stone!  You’ve taught American girls that the way to succeed is to get naked, inked and talk like Joe Biden.
