The Labor Day weekend brought little change in gas prices, but a big drop could be coming soon.

"It's been a bit of a sleeping week here," said gasbuddy.com Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan. Prices are very little change--they increased ever so slightly rising four tenths of a penny, so not a whole lot of change. In fact, prices today only stand a penny lower than where they were a month ago. It's been a bit of a snooze at the pump."

DeHaan says that he expects more of the same this week.

"By mid September we should start to see prices rolling back. Another week of very little change coming this week although wholesale prices are opening this week much lower. Drops in wholesale price range from seven to 10 cents per gallon largely due to the fact that we are out of the summer driving season.

Prices dropped less than a penny through the whole month of August, right now in Missoula low prices are around $3.54 per gallon.
