U.S. District Judge Susan Watters on Wednesday sentenced a former Wells Fargo employee to one day time served, for processing by the U.S. Marshals Service, and to five years of supervised release.  38-year-old Sara Marie Clark of Laurel faced a guideline sentence of four to 10 months after pleading guilty to bank embezzlement.

She said she stole money to fuel a gambling addiction.  There was no plea agreement.  Clark apologized to her coworkers, her family and friends for the pain she caused.  Clark was also ordered to pay $36,354 restitution to her former employer.
