Florida Man Killed In Big Horn Country By Runaway Trailer

Montana Highway Patrol continue to investigate a fatal accident that occurred in Big Horn Country Wednesday afternoon.  It’s reported by Highway Patrol that a trailer became detached from the vehicle that was pulling it on Highway 212 just before 1:30 pm around mile marker 20.  The runaway trailer ripped the side off an oncoming car killing the driver a 65 year old Florida man and injuring his wife.

The driver of the vehicle pulling the trailer, possibly a dark gray jeep SUV made a U turn and yelled out his window to the injured woman that he was going for help heading towards Busby about ten miles east of the crash…..and he never returned.  Troopers report the broken trailer hitch was rusted out completely.  Montana Highway continues their search for the vehicle and driver that caused this fatal accident.
