Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks spokeswoman Vivica Crowser says flooding along Western Montana rivers is triggering closures for multiple fishing access sites and campgrounds on the Bitterroot River. Here’s the list of closures so far:

Restrictions from south to north include the campground portion of Hannon Memorial, Darby Bridge, Woodside Bridge, Bell Crossing, and the lower portions of Florence Bridge.

On the Blackfoot River there is a partial closure on the Harry Morgan Fishing Access Site. The boat ramp and campground are closed, but it is still possible to park on the upper parking lot and access the river by foot.

The closures are expected to remain in place for no longer than two or three weeks.
