Federal investigators were reportedly still sorting through information gathered during a raid of the offices of a Billings rheumatology doctor late on Monday.  The Billings Gazette reports that a spokesman for the Health and Human Services branch of the Office of the Inspector General in Washington, D.C., would only confirm that a raid had taken place on Friday of the offices of Dr. Enrico Arguelles in Billings.  Because it’s an open investigation, the OIG declined to comment on the nature of the raid.

Arguelles was part of the practice at the Arthritis & Osteoporosis Center PC, in Billings.  He’s one of three providers at the practice.  Joining OIG agents were officials from the FBI and the Montana Medicaid Fraud Control Unit.  The mission of the Office of Inspector General is to prevent and investigate waste, abuse and fraud.
