At approximately 1:22 a.m. Thursday, a driver suffered serious injuries after crashing his car at the intersection of 6th Avenue North and North 30th Street in Billings, wrapping it around a tree. Q2 reports Billings police officers released a statement saying an as-yet unidentified 28-year-old Billings man was driving west on 6th Avenue North at high rate of speed when he lost control. He was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by emergency crews, who performed CPR at the scene, after which he was taken to Billings Clinic. His medical status has not been released. Westbound traffic at the accident scene, specifically on 6th Avenue North at North 30th Street, was temporarily shut down while police investigated.
