Drunk Pedestrian Hit

A reportedly intoxicated man was struck by a car on Central Avenue Sunday near the intersection with 17th Avenue West. He was taken to the hospital. Billings police responded to the collision just before 7 p.m. The pedestrian was crossing Central Avenue in an unlit area that was not a marked crosswalk, according to Sgt. Matt Chaney. The woman driving did not have time to react and hit the man. His injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
