Blair Keller was in diapers when she was first introduced to the melodic strains of a country music artist she would come to emulate at 3 years old.

Blair’s parents, Wade and Tasha Keller, would often sing to her. Their song of choice: “Better in the Long Run” by Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert, which was released in 2011. Little did they know that those songs would instill a dream in their daughter’s heart.

Standing at 3 feet, 6 inches tall, with blonde hair, blue eyes and a pair of stylish cowboy boots, Blair is a pint-size version of Miranda Lambert.

“I love singing her songs,” the youngster said. “I like dancing to them.”

The Billings-area youngster knows all the words to Miranda Lambert’s songs and isn’t shy about belting them out – for the right audience. Her favorite is “Little Red Wagon,” released in 2014. Another of her go-to tunes is “I Feel a Sin Comin’ On,” by the Pistol Annies, a country music trio that includes Lambert.

“I’ve been raising her right,” Tasha said smiling. “We love to jam out together.”

On Sept. 25, Blair and her parents will be in the audience when Lambert brings her “Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars Tour” to Rimrock Auto Arena at MetraPark.

The concert will Blair’s first. It is a milestone for the Keller family.

The family had hoped to get seats on the floor but no such luck. They aren’t in the nosebleed seats but their seats aren’t exactly conducive to meeting the reigning Country Music Association’s Female Vocalist of the Year.

They know it’s a long shot, but they are holding out hope for a meet-and-greet with the star.

“I want to sing her song and I want to give her a hug,” Blair said not stopping to take a breath. “I want to ask her the name of her white horse and I want to ask her the names of her puppies.”

Lambert is well-known for making a difference in the lives of shelter animals.

It is little wonder where the preschooler gets her passion for all things Miranda.
Loving the popular country music star and her music is a family pastime; some might call it a fixation, even an obsession.

For the couple’s honeymoon in 2010, the pair traveled to Twin Lakes, Wis., to see Miranda Lambert in concert.

“All I wanted for our honeymoon was to meet Miranda Lambert, but we never did,” said Tasha, a hint of disappointment in her voice.

The couple also traveled to Minot, N.D., where Lambert opened for Jason Aldean a few years back. They were also in the audience when Lambert played in Billings in 2011.
They are still holding out hope that one day, perhaps Sept. 25, they will get that coveted, once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet Miranda Lambert in person.
