Q2 reports a Billings West End coin shop is among those businesses on a list of possible targets of a nationwide crime spree. Surveillance cameras captured images of two men who walked into Grizzly Gold and Silver at 2450 King Ave. W. just before 6 p.m. last Friday, where a dozen gold coins worth approximately $13,000 were discovered missing shortly after the men left. The store manager told Q2 Monday that one of the men could be seen on camera palming the coins and putting them in his pocket. He thinks the suspects could be connected to a series of similar thefts in South Carolina, Iowa, Idaho and Montana. A $1,000 reward is being offered to the public regarding the theft. Anyone with information can call the store at 406-702-1516 or Billings police officer Justin Bickford at 406-657-3060 ext 0496.
