Be Realistic When You’re Outdoors, Especially in Montana [Opinion]

On Wednesday, a bear ran into a couple riding their motorcycle in Wyoming. Bears have been spotted near Fort Benton and other Montana towns that are nowhere near the mountains.

Who knows how many bears we need? Who keeps an eye on the people who are supposed to keep an eye on the bears?

Then there's the incident of the experienced hiker who was attacked and killed in Yellowstone National Park last week. This gentleman wasn't carrying bear spray or a firearm.

Chance favors the prepared mind. Even if you're the biggest animal supporter in the world, you still need to be realistic when you're in the great outdoors.
