Billings said goodbye to another restaurant yesterday. After 12 years in business, Johnny Carino's called it quits.

Apparently the company is struggling nationwide, so I'm not sure if they employees had a heads up on this one or not. It's never fun to lose your job, but losing it in the first week of December seems extra tough to me.

Food wise, I found Carino's to be satisfactory, but location wise…not the best. In fact, one of the greatest things about them was that I never recall having to wait for a table. Good for the customer, not so much for the restaurant. The few times I ate lunch there, it was a ghost town. I think any restaurant that inhabits that spot might struggle with a lunchtime crowd. Of course, in Billings, Montana, when in doubt, open a casino.
