The 9-year-old boy who was struck by an SUV while riding his bicycle on Friday evening remains in a Billings hospital today.  The boy was listed in fair condition at St. Vincent Healthcare on Sunday afternoon, according to Sgt. Shane Winden of the Billings Police Department.
According to the BPD news release, at approximately 7 p.m. Friday, the boy was riding his bicycle in the Santa Fe Arms apartments parking lot at 2207 Central Avenue when he was struck and partially pinned beneath the SUV.  The vehicle had entered through the lot’s east entrance before the collision.  The release said witnesses reported the boy had ridden out from under a carport and in front of the SUV.  Several people were attempting to assist the boy when officers arrived on scene.  He was taken to the hospital with what appeared to be serious injuries.
