8.7 Million Pounds of Recalled Meat Hits Billings, But We Have a Where to Buy Beef “Safe List”

The word out late last weekend was that of 8.7 million pounds of meat, mainly ground beef has been recalled affecting Montana and Wyoming.As Kevin Harrell from 4th Avenue Meat Market said about the 8.7 million pounds of beef,

…that is a lot of cows.

Here is the “safe list” as to where you can purchase beef in the Billings area.

Along with the recall involving cows from Rancho Feeding Corporation in Petaluma, California, Nestle also announced it was recalling Hot Pocket Philly Steak and Cheese packages.

I wonder if Montana’s annual “Rocky MountainTesticle Festival” in Clinton, Montana may be affected as well?  Rancho Feeding Corporation has also recalled 30-pound boxes of the Western, fried and breaded bull testicles.

There is now a website for you to log on to, to check UPC codes and batch numbers on recall products.
